Essential Information
Tour Overview
Start your day early to immerse yourself in the spiritual atmosphere of Wat Pho. Arrive in time to witness the monks' early morning chanting ritual, which begins at 09:00 am. This serene and often private experience will set a peaceful tone for the rest of your day. After the ritual, explore the temple grounds, home to the iconic 45-meter Reclining Buddha.
Next, head to the Grand Palace, Thailand’s most spectacular landmark. Here, you will be awed by the majestic throne halls and grand architecture. Visit the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew), where you can marvel at the Emerald Buddha, one of the most revered Buddha statues in the country.
For lunch, hop on a long-tail boat and head to the charming Never-Ending Summer restaurant, located deep within a local plantation. Enjoy a delightful Thai meal with a choice of main dishes and complimentary drinking water.
After lunch, embark on a scenic boat ride through the quieter, less touristy Khlongs (canals). Your first stop is Wat Khun Chan, a serene temple where you can enjoy a coffee break before continuing to Wat Paknam, known for its towering white stupa and hidden museum. Continue your boat journey through a picturesque part of the Khlongs, where old wooden houses blend with modern mansions.
The next stop is an orchid and fruit farm where you can take a leisurely walk through the displays of vibrant orchids and seasonal fruits. Please note, the farm visit is subject to seasonal availability.
Note: The Grand Palace can get crowded, especially during peak hours. To ensure a more peaceful visit, your guide may suggest visiting early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid large crowds. If you prefer a quieter experience, your guide can take you to nearby temples such as Wat Saket or Wat Suthat instead. This decision should be made before entering the Grand Palace.
