Itinerary

  1. Day 01: Bangkok to Kanchanaburi – Visit Hellfire Pass Museum & Krasae Cave

Leave the bustling Thai capital behind and journey three hours west to the charming town of Kanchanaburi. After checking in to your hotel, set out to explore the region’s poignant history.

Start at the Hellfire Pass Museum, a solemn tribute to the prisoners of war who endured unimaginable hardships constructing the Thailand-Burma Railway, also known as the "Death Railway." Explore the museum’s evocative exhibits, artifacts, and photographs, then walk along the railway and through Hellfire Pass to reflect on the resilience and sacrifices of those who worked there under dire conditions.

Next, visit Krasae Cave, a place where prisoners once sought shelter. Pause to admire the shrine honoring the site’s history. Conclude your day with a walk across the iconic Bridge over the River Kwai for panoramic views of the scenic landscape, followed by a tranquil boat ride along the river to learn more about the area's wartime past. The day ends at Don Rak War Cemetery, the resting place of many prisoners of war—a stark reminder of the human cost of war.
    Overnight in Kanchanaburi.
  2. Day 02: Kanchanaburi – Explore Erawan National Park & Transfer to Ayutthaya

Begin your day with an early departure to Erawan National Park, home to Thailand’s most stunning waterfall. The Erawan Waterfall is a spectacular series of seven cascading tiers, each with its own unique charm and character. Originating from the Monglai Stream, the waterfall flows from a height of 2,000 meters into the Khwae Yai River. Its name is inspired by the legendary three-headed white elephant from Hindu mythology.

Enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear natural pools, surrounded by lush jungle scenery. Afterward, embark on a road transfer to the historic city of Ayutthaya. Often referred to as the “Venice of the East,” Ayutthaya is nestled along the Chao Phraya River and its surrounding tributaries, offering a glimpse into Thailand’s ancient grandeur.
    Overnight in Ayutthaya.
  3. Day 03: Ayutthaya City Tour – Travel to Chiang Mai or Bangkok

After breakfast, embark on a tuk-tuk tour of Ayutthaya’s historical wonders. Visit key sites within the Ayutthaya Historical Park, starting with Wat Phra Si Sanphet, one of the most photographed temples in the area. Continue to Wat Mahathat, famous for the Buddha head entwined within tree roots, as well as Wat Mongkhon Bophit and Wat Ratchaburana, each offering stunning glimpses into the city’s rich past.

Next, stop at Wat Yai Chaimongkhol, home to one of Ayutthaya's largest reclining Buddha statues. End your exploration with a visit to the ruins of the Grand Royal Palace and its temples, soaking in the grandeur of Thailand’s former capital.

From Ayutthaya, choose your preferred mode of onward travel:
    * Board a night train to Chiang Mai for a scenic journey.
    * Transfer to Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport for a flight to Chiang Mai.
    * Return to Bangkok by road for additional exploration.
    * Overnight travel or stay in Chiang Mai, depending on your choice
