Day 1 Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Nghia (~180 km).
Start your morning journey to Trung Nghia Village located in the heart of the Mekong Delta. Stop along the way in My Tho and Mo Cay for a quick visit to the Vinh Trang Pagoda and a coconut candy workshop. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and led to the lodge for check in. Have your lunch and relax. Your afternoon activities will start with a cycling trip around peaceful villages to enjoy local life, the vast rice paddy scenery, the sedge fields, and the orchards. Come back to the lodge for a rest before participating in a cooking demonstration and a dinner. In the evening, walk to the neighbour’s house to chat with a veteran farmer who tells stories about the village.

Day 2 Trung Nghia – Ho Chi Minh City
Start your boat ride with visits to the local market and the coconut peeling factory for an authentic view of local life. Afterwards, return to the lodge. The morning is for learning how locals make “poon sticks” once used for lighting at night, popped rice, and coconut thatch. Relax before saying goodbye to the family and drive back to Ho Chi Minh City or your next destination. End of services.

Vinh Long Home Stay (2 Days/1 Night)

Day 1 Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Long Home stay
Drive from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh Long. On arrival, discover local cottage industries before taking a boat ride along the Mekong River and its tributaries. Lunch will be in a local house set amongst fruit orchards and bonsai trees. Spend the night in a local house.

Day 2 Vinh Long – Cai Be – Ho Chi Minh City
In the morning, take a boat to the bustling and colourful Cai Be area. Stop at a family-run business which produces rice cake and rice paper (a key component in Vietnamese cuisine). Then visit a traditional Mekong Delta house and a wholesale fruit market. Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.

Day 1 Ho Chi Minh City - Biking Cai Thia - Home Stay
Leave Ho Chi Minh City for Tien Giang province. Upon arrival, cross the river and cycle along the Cai Thia village path through serene countryside with stops at a temple, a rice paper making place, and a local house. Board your boat and have your lunch while cruising to Binh Hoa Phuoc Island to take a sampan ride around small creeks before getting to your home stay. On arrival, the host will welcome you. In the afternoon, you can relax or walk around the islet. Take part in dinner preparation with the host.

Day 2 Home stay – Biking on islet – Vinh Long – Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, begin cycling around the islet, passing orchards, the local market, schools, and other small villages. Then take a boat trip to Vinh Long including a visit to the town market before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 1 Ho Chi Minh City – Ben Tre – Home Stay/hotel
Leave Ho Chi Minh City for Ben Tre Town. Upon arrival, begin your boat cruise on the mighty Mekong River towards Son Phu Island area where you can visit a coconut processed workshop, a local grapefruit orchard, a fish farm and a coconut activated charcoal workshop. Cruise to Ms. Mai’s for a delicious lunch featuring some local specialties. After lunch, take a short boat cruise on Cai Cam River to the nearby canal for a sampan ride to local house where you will have a chance to try the local ride wandering the surrounding area. You may be interested in preparing dinner under the guidance of the host. Have dinner and spend your night at Mai's house home stay.

Day 2 Cruise - Coconut Market – Ho Chi Minh City /next destination
In the morning, leave the home stay (hotel) for a cruise on Nuoc Trong canal with optional walk or cycle along the riverbank. The trip gives you a chance to observe lively activities of coconut processing and trading. End your touring with short walk through a small local market before returning to Ho Chi Minh City or your next destination.
