Local Immersion
Explore Bangkok’s Hidden Green Paradise on Two Wheels
Discover a side of Bangkok you never imagined—a peaceful escape from the city's traffic, where narrow streets and lush backyards lead the way. Get ready for an unforgettable biking adventure!
After a quick bike fitting and briefing, we begin our journey from our lounge on Rama III Road. But don’t worry, we’ll only be on the main road for a few minutes before hopping on a ferry to cross the majestic Chao Phraya River. As you wait on the riverbank, you’ll be awed by the looping curves of the towering Bhumibol Bridges I & II, rising 40 meters above.
On the other side, we enter Bangkrachao, known as “The Green Lung of Bangkok.” This hidden gem is the city’s largest and greenest area, covering around 16 km². Here, we cycle along elevated pathways shaded by coconut palms and banana trees—spot any familiar plants? They might be much bigger than you’re used to!
Our first stop is Wat Bang Krasop, a local Buddhist temple with over 700 years of history. Be mindful of the low doorways—ancient builders didn’t expect visitors to be quite so tall! If the timing is right, we may also visit the elementary school next door to greet the children.
Next, we venture deeper into the greenery, arriving at a Muay Thai boxing gym. Here, you will learn about Thailand’s national sport, and if we have a boxing enthusiast in the group, they might even try a short lesson with the master!
As we continue our ride, we pass through a lively local market (if open) and make a stop at the stunning Sri Nakhon Khuean Khan Park, where we take a well-deserved break to soak in the scenery.
No adventure is complete without delicious food! We stop at a local restaurant where you will enjoy an authentic Thai meal—choose from Pad Thai or Kao Pad (fried noodles or fried rice), with options like shrimp, crab, pork, chicken, or vegetarian. Just let our guide know your preference.
After our meal, it is time to head back to the ferry and return to the vibrant energy of Bangkok.
This tour is not just for cycling enthusiasts—the pace is relaxed, with plenty of stops for photos, sightseeing, and refreshments. Whether young or old, Explore Bangkok’s Hidden Green Paradise on Two Wheels promises an unforgettable biking experience, revealing a hidden oasis in the heart of the city.
