This bridge was constructed by prisoners of war under Japanese command, as part of the infamous Death Railway. You will have the chance to visit the War Cemeteries, which are meticulously maintained and house the graves of approximately 6,982 Allied soldiers who perished while building the bridge and railway. Learn about the tragic history of the Death Railway, which the Japanese had planned to extend all the way to the Burmese border.

FULL DAY BRIDGE OF RIVER KWAI AND ERAWAN WATERFALL WITH LUNCH
Begin your day with a visit to the Bridge on the River Kwai, one of Thailand’s most iconic historical landmarks. This steel bridge, built during World War II as part of the Death Railway, has witnessed great conflict and tragedy. After the war, the bridge was repaired and reopened in 1946. Near the bridge, you will also visit Don Rak War Cemetery, where thousands of prisoners of war who died during the railway's construction are buried. Next, enjoy a short train ride along the historic railway, from Kanchanaburi Station to Tham Kasae Station, where you can see a picturesque cave located next to the tracks. Afterward, head to the stunning Erawan Waterfall, one of Thailand’s most beautiful natural attractions. Upon arrival at Erawan National Park, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, take a leisurely walk through the park to the waterfall, where you can relax, swim in the clear turquoise pools, and enjoy the natural beauty surrounding you. Spend time exploring the waterfall’s seven levels until around 3:30 PM, before departing for the return journey to Bangkok.

19:30 Hrs. Departure from River City Pier While you enjoy your drinks, take in the beautiful night-lit scenery on both side of the Chao Phraya River. Our captain will pilot the boat up- river. We will ensure the opportunity for you to take snapshot of the two most magnificent night views of Bangkok: Wat Arun - The Temple of Dawn - and the Grand Palace with Wat Pra Kaew - The Temple of the Emerald Buddha. After the picture op we will return to The River City Shopping Complex, enjoying the beautiful decorations and awesome sight of colored light on the river side.
