The excursion also leads you to the commando’s secret weapons storage once located in the middle of Saigon centre. The
secret weapon storage where the Saigon commandos of Team 5 gathered to collect weapons for the Tet Offensive on 30 January 1968 was recognized a national historical site in 1988.

Start your visit by walking to the City Hall area surrounded by many war-related buildings like the Rex Hotel (home of the Five O' Clock Follies), the Caravelle Hotel, the Continental Hotel, and the Opera House (formerly the South Vietnam Senate). Walk towards the grounds of the former US Embassy; one of the targets of the communist commandoes during the Tet Offensive in 1968. Pass
by the Notre Dame Cathedral and the General Post Office and continue your walk to visit the former Presidential Palace and the War remnants museum. Walk back to your hotel.
